Dear colleague,

As part of the celebration of its 30th anniversary, the Czech Immunological Society, together with the Institute of Microbiology of CAS, v.v.i., is organizing a summer school on Tumor Microenvironment and Immunity. The event will be held in the beautiful setting of Chateau Nové Hrady in South Bohemia from July 12-15, 2023 - detailed travel information can be found here.

This event is aimed at PhD students and recent PhD graduates. The program includes talks by prominent scientists and a hands-on ELISPOT mini-course. If you would like participae more actively, bring your poster (standard A0 portrait tables will be provided) and write the title with a short abstract (400 words) in the registration form.

EFIS supports the CIS-IMIC Summer school on Tumor Microenvironment and Immunity making available bursaries to enable graduate students and post-docs to attend. Each bursary is for up to 200 euros and applicants must provide their first and last name, position, e-mail address, proof of current membership in an EFIS-affiliated immunological society, and a letter of motivation. Preference will be given to active participants with a poster. To apply, send application materials to This email address is being protected from spambots. The fee includes:

-the main program (lectures + poster session + ELISPOT mini-course)

-accommodation (3 nights in shared room)

-meals + coffee breaks.

We recommend you to register quickly to secure a place, as the capacity of the summer school is only 42 places. Registration form (with additional information) is here. At the moment, only few seats remains.

The lectures (in English) will focus on the interactions between tumor microenvironment structures and immunity, from basic to translational research; perspective approaches for cancer research and therapy will also be discussed.
